.htaccessand not.htaccess. A world of pain because of a trailing space..htaccessfile wasn't doing anything. Of course it wasn't, I got the filename wrong. It's satisfying that I should leaveapache2.confalone. Why else wouldnt2.confexist insites-available? It's all supposted to be modular right? How else can these files remain safe from bad people? I removed everything I added in there and everything works. I added all the changes innt2.confand set theServerNametolocalhost. I'd like to upvote you because you've given me much useful info and you were on the right track.
