Rings of Power, Ep.5-8

The end is near and I say this with a lot of relief XD

- So everyone knows how to give inspirational speeches? It's a little hard to believe.

- Is Galadriel still not tying her hair or braiding it? *sighs* Not only is it anachronistic but not practical either for a warrior. Her hair is flying into her face in every scene.

- The Harfoot girl Nori is so silly. No brains at all.

- I like Adar as a character and Joseph Mawle has the skills to perfectly portray him as a complex, sympathetic villain. His acting is nuanced, all with his eyes and body language and with few lines given to him by the script its amazing he accomplished so much. To make the audience sympathise with the Orcs is no small feat.

Someone wrote: "appreciation of the Orc savior who salvaged the $500 million series" which is pretty true. Since he's not returning in season.2 of the series, that's one more reason not to watch.

- All the money reportedly spent on this series and they couldn't hire a good costume designer?

- I'm late to this realisation but are the Harfoots actually Irish peasants? I kept wondering what they reminded me of. Wow. That's pretty insensitive.

- Some of the actors just can't act. *sighs*

- The series doesn't explain what Mithril is and why it's so important.

- The dialogue is cringe-worthy.

- The three white witches(?) were at least interesting, which can't be said for the rest of the supporting cast.

- The ending is like the beginning, underwhelming. Though the ending song is nice.
