I liked how it began with the benefits and challenges of multi-cloud strategies, as it clearly set the context for why CI/CD must evolve in such environments. The detailed overview of Tekton pipelines and their components helped me understand how tasks, pipelines, and triggers fit into real-world workflows. I especially appreciated the architecture flow, which clearly showed how GitHub Actions orchestrates automation while Tekton executes builds and deployments across different cloud providers. You can now add users, service principals, and groups from Microsoft Entra ID into Azure Databricks without configuring an application in Microsoft Entra ID using automatic identity management. When automatic identity management is enabled, you can directly search in identity federated workspaces for Microsoft Entra ID users, service principals, and groups and add them to your workspace. Databricks uses Microsoft Entra ID as the source of of record, so any changes to group memberships are respected in Azure Databricks. Automatic identity management also supports nested groups. 🔄 Azure Entra ID Sync Issues – Common Causes & Real-World Fixes Syncing identities from on-premises AD to Azure Entra ID (Azure AD) using Azure AD Connect can sometimes break unexpectedly. Here are some real-world issues I’ve resolved — and how: 🛠 Common Issues & Fixes: ✅ Password hash sync not working • 🔍 Check scheduler status: Get-ADSyncScheduler • 🧰 Run manual sync: Start-ADSyncSyncCycle -PolicyType Delta ✅ User not syncing to Azure • 🔍 Check for duplicate proxyAddresses or UPNs • 🧰 Use IdFix tool to scan and clean directory ✅ OU filtering misconfigured • 🔍 Ensure the OU containing the user is selected • 🧰 Modify scope via Azure AD Connect Wizard ✅ Account already exists in cloud (soft match failure) • 🧰 Remove cloud account or set ImmutableID manually: Set-MsolUser -UserPrincipalName [email protected] -ImmutableId "" ✅ AAD Connect service stopped or scheduler disabled • 🧰 Restart Sync Service: services.msc > ADSync • 🧰 Enable scheduler again: Set-ADSyncScheduler -SyncCycleEnabled $true These kinds of issues are a great reminder of how critical identity health is in hybrid environments. 🎉 Public Preview: AI Services - Manage traffic with spillover for provisioned (PTU) deployments 🎉 This is a big deal if you are working with Azure AI Services and want to ensure a robust setup! If you are already using PTUs or you are considering using them soon, you can now account for scenarios in which you may exhaust your allotted PTUs. Standard (consumption) instances become a fallback to handle bursting or excessive/unplanned demand, providing you with easy-to-configure means to avoid service disruptions through 429s, etc. When Azure API Management introduced its GenAI features in May of 2024, one of the big benefits was the ability to load balance and provide fallbacks. In fact, we provide labs to showcase and teach that practice in our AI Gateway samples (https://lnkd.in/egRSnyxk). This itself was an evolution of either doing your own load balancing or using custom policies in API Management. There's great value in using API Management, with and without AI Services. But what was always difficult to accept was having to use API Management for the sole purpose of load-balancing internally. I have worked with a number of customers that did just that and now may have a path to offramp single-purpose API Management instances at significant cost savings. I'm a big proponent of API Management, but I focus on customer benefits and success first and foremost. If you truly don't need it, don't use it, then just reevaluate when needs change. --- Note that the spillover capabilities only apply to Global or Data Zone (EU or US geographies) provisioned and standard deployments. Upgrading vSphere Infra 7 to 8 Step-by-step Planning to upgrade from vSphere 7 to 8, here's a comprehensive guide to ensure a smooth transition: 1. Pre-Upgrade Assessment:  * Compatibility Check: Verify that your hardware, including servers, storage, and network components, is compatible with vSphere 8. Consult the VMware Compatibility Guide for detailed information.  * Inventory: Document your existing vSphere 7 environment, including ESXi hosts, virtual machines, networking configurations, and storage.  * Backup: Perform a full backup of your vCenter Server and ESXi hosts. This is crucial in case of any unforeseen issues during the upgrade process.  * Resource Planning: Ensure you have sufficient resources, such as CPU, memory, and storage, to accommodate the vSphere 8 upgrade. 2.
