It would be a great time saver if images could be scanned directly inside
Inkscape.

Wow I can't believe this has not been addressed since 2007-12-28. I just found Inkscape [5-1-2011], and I like it, but it puts a hurtin' on folks when you can't scan directly to it. I would think that this feature helps to separate "the men from the boys" in graphics editors.

By not having a the facility to scan images, it puts a limitation on what I can do.
I have just purchased this program and I am not impressed.
By the look of things this has been a issue for many years.
Do the developers ever read the comments

If you purchased Inkscape, you have been ripped off. Inkscape is open source and free.
