I’ve been using the Roborock Saros 20 for a bit now and honestly, it’s been great. Easy 5 stars from me. Ultra premium and well-designed, impressive, intuitive and sleek product.

Setup was super simple. It reminded me of setting up an Apple product, everything just so intuitive and worked right away. The mapping was quick and accurate, so I didn’t have to mess around with it much.

Cleaning-wise, it’s the best robot vacuum I’ve ever seen. It gets into corners so much better than I expected from any robot vac. It gets all of my golden retriever’s hair -- that alone makes it worth it. The mopping is also legit, using heated water is a nice touch so you know it stays clean in the dock and you can tell the floors come out cleaner. It’s also way quieter than I thought it would be, which is a big plus.

I’m a techie so the extra features are what push it over the top. The camera feature is a nice touch, I’ve used it a few times to check in on my dog when we’re out, which is a cool bonus I didn’t think I’d care about as much as I do. Voice control is nice too and makes it easy for anyone in the house to use without thinking about it.

Overall, it just works really well. Super happy with it. No complaints. Would recommend.

We’ve got 5 cats, so a robot vacuum that actually keeps up is a lifesaver. I just picked up the Saros 20 for our second floor and it’s been solid.

The build quality is great, it feels premium and not cheap at all. Performance-wise, it handles pet hair on both carpets and hardwood way better than I expected. The best part is the extending brush; it actually digs into the corners where cat hair always builds up.

Navigation is also a huge plus. It’s smart enough to dodge cat toys and fits perfectly under our low furniture without getting stuck. Plus, having the built-in cleaning solution tank is such a nice upgrade as I don't have to mess with it every time I fill the water.

Overall, it’s a premium unit but totally worth it if you want something that actually handles a daily mess. Highly recommend!

I couldn’t be happier with the Roborock Saros 20, this is easily one of the best smart home purchases I’ve made. From unboxing to setting it up, the entire onboarding experience felt very high-end. I particularly love the slim design, it slides right under my couch without getting stuck even once.

In terms of performance, this little fella absolutely delivers. The cleaning capabilities are outstanding. We have hardwood floors, tile, and carpets in our home, it handled everything with ease. The suction power is very strong and picks up fine dust, pet hair, and even larger debris without any issues. The mopping function is also quite impressive, leaving floors noticeably cleaner.

The navigation capabilities are next level. It maps the home quickly and moves efficiently, avoiding obstacles and covering every corner without missing spots. I also love the simple yet efficient app design and how customizable the cleaning routines are through the app.

Overall, the Roborock Saros 20 combines powerful cleaning, intelligent features, and beautiful design into one exceptional product. Highly recommend!

I had been considering a robot vacuum for a while since I’d seen a lot of videos about them on social media. It was between Roborock, Dreame, and Ecovacs. I went with the Saros 20 because I’d seen it was a great vacuum and Roborock was very innovative. After buying it, I was impressed! I’m surprised by how well it cleans my floors. I thought it was going to be loud, but it’s actually quiet than what I expected! For me, being able to clean underneath the couch and dining room table is a must, and it handles that very nicely. The app is very easy to use. The ability to go over bumps is something I didn’t know I needed! It doesn’t get stuck! My mom likes deep cleans, and this robot does a great job with that. I like a quick clean, so I just vacuum and mop at the same time. No matter how you prefer to clean your house, you can customize it with routines and trigger them with a “routine” in the app. I love that it has Matter, so I can connect it to Home Assistant and the Apple Home app — that was a nice surprise.

Great machine - replaced my 3 yo Roborock Qrevo and now -

1. No more tangled socks, charging cables etc,

2. Cleans under our bed (which also had sleep number cords),

3. Cleans the corners - finally,

4. No need to add cleaning solution at every clean water refills - there is a sepate can to prefill with like 500 ml solution,

5. The design of water tank tops and charging station attracts less dust and pet fluff - was definitely an eyesore with Qrevo,

6. The rotating brush does not pick up disgusting hair and pet fluff,

7. The maps are more reliable - identifies bedrooms vs bathrooms on its own!

8. A possible plus - I keep it next to our pet crate and it can be used as an on demand camera! Did not know that before buying. Cool!

Feature Request -

1. Holy grail - climb and clean steps! Will be an awesome thing to do one shot cleaning for both levels.

2. Battery is not powerful enough - esp for "Deep Cleaning" (love that new app option ). It is more concerning as this is a brand new battery and barely lasts 30 min on deep cleaning mode. About 2 hrs else.

3. May be get the mops completely off during vac - I think the less weight would add battery.

4. Make the battery pluggable and sell more batteries. One should have a pair. LG vacs did that.

5. Make the robot mappable with multiple stations. That way I can use the same robot with 2 stations in each floor and do not have to get it up/down for getting the mops cleaned.

Overall, if Qrevo did 70% of cleaning, this one does about 88%. Great improvement. Also glad to see the new trade-in program so now more confident to buy the next improved version (stairs!!!) without much worries.

I just received this today and it seems to be doing a great job just like it’s supposed to. I’m a little disappointed that there was no extra vacuum bag no information on how to order more no cleaning solution even just a small amount to get you started I paid $1700 for this product. Fingers crossed I will get what I paid for. I am disappointed in the fact that they don’t at least give you one extra bag and some cleaning solution for that kind of money. Day three the vacuum does a really great job at vacuuming the house the mop function however, is definitely not what I would hope. I’m really bummed about that. I did however find where to order the bags super simple it is actually on the homepage of the app, they’re not cheap but a pretty good value. OK well unfortunately the mop cycle just does not work for crap. I will be returning it. Really bummed.

This is an upgrade for us from an earlier model Roborock. It arrived the day after I ordered it. Setup was very easy. The features are dazzling and will probably take a couple of weeks to appreciate the many options and customizations it offers. The phone app is wonderful and very self-explanatory. The sound of the robot itself is very quiet and does not interfere with normal conversation, even as its suction power is three times that of our old model. The self-emptying feature, which was VERY loud on our earlier model, is also very quiet and does not interfere with normal conversation. It handles threshholds without any issues. The dual spinning mops do a great job washing the floors. The robot automatically adds or deletes the mops depending on what you've asked it to do. No more manually inserting and removing a mop module. The docking tray is self-cleaning, so it doesn't require getting on the floor and fiddling with filters and brushes. The dock washes the mops with hot water and dries the mops. There are just too many features to describe here. All I can say is it is the most hands-free robot I've ever seen, even in reviews. Yes, it's not the cheapest brand on the market. But being an older person with a bad back and a large house, I am very pleased to be able to vacuum the entire house and wash all washable surfaces in the house in one day. Hiring a person to do that each week over the course of a year would very much exceed the price of this robot.

Lately, I’ve really gotten into researching and testing different robots. It’s become a bit of a passion for me, and I’m hoping that by sharing what I’ve learned and experienced, I can help others who are thinking about investing in this kind of technology. Having conducted that extensive research on the many different robot vacuum options available and owning some models purchased both on and outside the Vine program, I feel confident in my understanding of their strengths and weaknesses. (I have owned 4 vacuums with spin mops, 3 vacuums with roller mops, and two vacuums with drag mops.)

It’s important to recognize that no single robot vacuum with mopping capabilities will perfectly meet everyone’s needs in all areas—such as handling high thresholds between rooms or navigating under low furniture. Therefore, it’s essential to carefully research and select a model that best fits your specific requirements. This one covers those two mentioned areas very well and has a lot of other great features.

Setting up this robot was pretty straightforward. Unlike some others where the instructions are right on top of the box, these were tucked inside the packaging with the robot itself. So, I just had to unpack everything before I could start setting up the base. The software installation was smooth and user-friendly, especially for those who aren’t super tech-savvy. It uses a step-by-step setup wizard that guides you through some of the basic configurations, which is great. One thing to note: there was no prompt to update the firmware during setup. Some people might like that, but I prefer having the latest updates right away.

Speaking of firmware, I was honestly a bit disappointed with how the vacuum performed right out of the box on its default firmware. Unlike many other brands that force a firmware update during setup, Roborock lets you skip it. I get that some users don’t want to be forced into updates, and it seems Roborock listened to that feedback. But the downside is that the vacuum’s performance can suffer initially. Like any smart device or PC, updates are crucial—they fix bugs, improve features, and adapt to different home environments. Since these robots ship from retailer warehouses and can be on the shelf for a bit, not all units will have the latest firmware, so forcing an update before use usually makes sense.

Before I updated from firmware 2.36 to 2.5.10—which included 14 majo fixes and at least 10 patches—the robot got lost a few times, bumped into smaller objects the AI obsticle avoidance should have detected, and didn’t clean corners well with its side brush. The robot was also lifting itself at odd times while cleaning. I knew to check for updates before getting frustrated, but not everyone will, and many won’t contact support for help when facing similar issues. I notice that a lot of people will go directly to giving a negitive review immediately. Some sellers will try to reach most customers when they leave a 1-star review, but even if the sellers often try to reach out, spam filters can make contact tricky, especially when not knowing to keep an eye out for a response.

Once I updated the firmware, things improved a lot. But that wasn’t the only thing. I spent about an hour exploring the app’s settings because even small tweaks—like when the extending arm should activate to get under door jams, fridges, stoves, ect. or how the mop should work for extending itdself or deep cleaning—can make a big difference. The app has a lot of options, so take your time with it and don’t hesitate to reach out to support if you need assistance. Basically, help the robot help you!

After updating the firmware, taking more time to setup the app, refilling the water tank (which I love for its size), topping up the auto dispensing cleaner container, and fully charging the robot, I started doing more vacuum and mop room cleaning. The first few on demand room cleaning tasks I ran went very well, so much smoother, though I was a bit annoyed it didn’t clean the rooms in the order I selected them (only when setting up routines that can be used for manual start and scheduled cleaning will follow the order I set the rooms up for). The robot navigated around small objects and clothes very well, getting much closer to things than all the other robot vacuum I’ve used to date. It even adapted well when things were moved around, keeping up with changes to the environment perfectly. I did notice it turned on its light more often in dim rooms than my Eufy robots do and it always uses the light under furnature, which also helped it get closer to a lot more smaller objects. Its low profile was a big plus, too, allowing it slide under all my furniture without needing to use risers. The robot was not overly noisy at all, being one of the quietest robots while using the max suction power I’ve experienced to date (seems they keep improving on that, cause every newer model continues to impress me more and more for lowering noise). On the lowest setting, I mostly heard the motors and running it on the second level of the four available was the sweet spot for me. I personally found that was a perfect balance between noise and power.

The vacuuming performance was excellent—one of the best results I’ve experienced. It sometimes missed stuff stuck in carpet fibers that required my intervention (enabling deep carpet cleaning with two passes for those situations provided amazing results but did use more battery), but otherwise the overall standard daily vacuuming performance I experienced with this robot was great. I find that the highest suction mode (also used on carpets when turbo boost is set and the robot is running it on a lower suction level) gave better results, but the standard setting that produced very little noise was good enough for most my daily vacuuming needs.

As for mopping, it’s not quite as good as the self cleaning roller mop on my Eufys, but it’s the best spin mop I’ve tried so far. There might be better options on robots focused on mopping specifically, but this one outperformed all four of the other spin mop robots I’ve used/tested. The app also has great features for tackling heavily soiled floors, though from my experience, dried on stains might still need some pre-spraying at times. (I have not had any robot, even the roller mop versions being perfect with all dried on stains.)

The base station is well designed, with large water tanks and a big vacuum bag so you don’t have to empty it too often. The mop cleaning works well, too, and there’s even an auto tray cleaning feature to reduce messy cleanups during regular maintenance.

All in all, after a rocky start, I’m really impressed. The robot has excellent navigation, handles all my thresholds well, and performs admirably as a vacuum and spin mop combo, especially with how it gets right up to the edge of walls with it's mop head. The liftable chassis helps it get onto rugs without getting stuck or lifting them up (has not goten stuck once). That same feature also allows it to vacuum higher pile carpets, and the automatic mop removal is a huge plus for homes with lots of carpeting (vacuum before mopping is a great feature offered in their app). I’m giving it 4.5 stars, rounding up and I’d definitely have no issue recommending it—just make sure to update the firmware before you start using it.

Some tips to get the most out of your robot vacuum with a mop:

- Take time initially to learn the robot's cleaning and observe the limitations to know where no go zones are needed and configure floor maps according (such as splitting larger rooms to achieve the best performance with least time required for canister emptying/mop cleaning processes during larger tasks in high square footage homes, starting at the furthest location, working back towards the base.

- If you have pets, set the robot to empty its bin more frequently to prevent clogs. This also applies to the first suggestion, where the app offers useful features for customizing room divisions, cleaning orders, and timing between bin emptying. (This model excels by offering multiple options like total run, an auto mode and by room bin empting.)

- For heavily soiled floors, run the mop on higher water a couple of times, then switch to medium or low for regular daily cleaning (this one offers a great range of water level options). While streaking may be seen initially, consistent use will eliminate streaks over time.

- Schedule weekly or monthly clean-ups to clear clutter. While the obstacle avoidance is impressive, it won’t perfectly navigate or mop right up to all objects it is trying to avoid.

- Share issues with the manufacturer when there are constant problems with certain furniture or sections of your home (the app offers you to opt in on providing logs to help improve performance).

Just a heads-up: these robots are great for handling most everyday cleaning and saving you time, but they’re not perfect. You’ll still need to interact with them sometimes, and they might not do as well on really dirty spots as you’d hope. This one does very well for its category, but like any robot I’ve used or looked into, you’ll still have to do some manual cleaning now and then. Also, prices can vary a lot depending on the features. Stuff like cameras, lidar, liftable chassis, extendable mops and brushes, and other fancy extras will bump up the cost. From my experience, this model—with its liftable chassis and ability to climb higher thresholds—works really well for what it is, and it’s priced reasonable compared to the others with similar features.

Side Note: I came across a 1-star review about an issue with the robot struggling to climb a threshold that’s constantly moving. Either they forgot to enable the threshold climbing arm (needs to be turned on) or if the gate/ threshold vibrates and constantly shifts while the robot is trying to get over it, where it can’t get a solid grip to trigger the arm, it likely won’t make an attempt to get across. For normal, stable thresholds I tested, this wasn't a problem at all. In my experience, it didn't have any trouble with thresholds that didn’t move around.

There was also another 1-star review where the robot wouldn’t dock properly. That is because the ramp is slightly elevated and not fully snapped into place. I didn’t mention this in my review, but I had the exact same problem until I fixed the ramp installation. I also wonder if that same reviewer, who mentioned clicking noises, might have had some brush assembly alignment issues. Everything they described sounds like alignment problems to me with how they installed things.

While these aren’t great experiences for those users, they seem like one-off issues rather than widespread problems. Like I mentioned in my review, instead of contacting support, it seems like a lot of people jump to giving a bad review.

I'll be upfront — I was hesitant about robot vacuums for a long time. I've owned two previous models from other brands and while they were fine, they always felt like a partial solution. They missed corners, got stuck on thresholds, left pet hair tangled in the brush, and needed constant supervision to do their jobs. I kept having to go back and finish what they started. When I started researching the Roborock Saros 20 seriously I kept coming back to it because it seemed to address every single frustration I'd had with the category. After living with it for over a month now I can say without any hesitation that this machine has completely changed how clean our home is and how little effort it takes to keep it that way. It is categorically different from anything I've used before.

The obstacle crossing capability genuinely impressed me from day one. Our home has multiple room transitions with thresholds and slight level changes that my previous robots either avoided entirely or bumped against repeatedly without crossing. The AdaptiLift Chassis 3.0 handles our 3.46-inch double-layer threshold between the kitchen and living room effortlessly — it raises its body, glides over, and continues cleaning on the other side without losing suction or interrupting its path. It also cleans carpet up to 1.18 inches deep without hesitation. Every room in our home gets cleaned in a single run, which sounds like it should be standard but genuinely was not my experience with any previous robot.

The 3.13-inch ultra-slim profile delivers results that just appear without any effort. Our sofas and bed frames are low to the ground and were always the places where dust, pet hair, and debris accumulated undisturbed because nothing could reach underneath. The Saros 20 disappears under every piece of furniture in our home on every single run, pulling out the buildup that had been sitting there for years. Our floors have never been this consistently clean in the hard-to-reach areas and the difference is very noticeable.

The 36,000 Pa suction is another level entirely. Pet hair — and we have two dogs who shed constantly — gets pulled out of carpet fibers and off hard floors without anything left behind. The dual anti-tangle system handles hair buildup automatically without it wrapping around the brush and grinding to a halt, which was a constant problem with previous machines. Having to manually cut hair off the brush every week used to be a regular chore. With the Saros 20 that simply doesn't happen. It handles everything and keeps going.

The mopping system with 100°C hot water washing is what truly elevated this beyond a vacuum into a complete floor care solution. The mop pads get properly sanitized at the dock between sessions, the FlexiArm extends the mop to reach right into edges and corners, and the floors come out genuinely clean rather than just damp-wiped. The RockDock's self-cleaning, self-drying, and up to 65-day auto dust emptying means there's no meaningful interaction required between maintenance cycles. Truly hands-free in a way that the category has promised for years but rarely delivered.

The StarSight Autonomous System 2.0 navigation with 3D ToF sensors and RGB vision builds accurate real-time maps and recognizes over 300 obstacle types. It navigates around dogs' toys, water bowls, dropped items, and chair legs without any issues. The SmartPlan 3.0 in the Roborock app is polished and intuitive, and the ability to check in on the built-in RGB camera while it's running — including seeing the dogs wherever they are in the house — is a feature that gets used more than expected.

This is the robot vacuum that finally delivers on every promise the category has been making for years. If you're serious about truly clean floors and genuinely hands-free operation, the Roborock Saros 20 is worth every penny. Nothing else comes close.

I am new to the robot vacuum world so this is my first ever robot vacuum. I do not really have experience with or knowledge of other brands so I cannot compare to other brands, but on its own, and based on my amateur first time user experience, this is a mindblowingly good robot vacuum. The app works fantastically. The way this circumvents obstacles and also will adjust the height of the wheel to go over some barriers (change in surfaces for instance), is amazing. We have a large pet that sheds year round and also during some seasons brings in a lot of dirt and wet paws, so it is a bit of a chore to clean up regularly after her at every potty and walk. This is such a lifesaver. Water tanks are a good size and easily fillable. We will see over time if there are any weird smells developing as I have read that these have a tendency to smell after a while, but so far I have not noticed anything. The price is definitely eye watering but comparable to other robovacs with similar features, and this definitely is a top notch quality robovac that you can trust. Everything seems to be very well studied and designed. The materials are solid and the brushes do not seem to have trouble with pet hair (for now at least). My only beef with this robovac is that when I inserted the dock in a corner, with very sufficient / large access for the robot to be able to go home to its dock, it was unable to find the dock and kept going around the apartment. So, you really need to put it in a location that is very very exposed. Living in a fairly small apartment, this is a problem -- I had to put my base in a less than ideal location, because the other location that was a perfect fit for it would not work.
