Book overview
Mindset & Intuitive coach, Kindall D., brings to you a guided, beautifully illustrated journal with not only deep, thought provoking journal prompts, but also quotes and notes from her written in a similar style that you may have come to love and relate to from her popular Instagram feed, “I’ve Been That Girl.” The goal of this journal is to assist you in leveling up to become your highest self by self-accountability, self-reflection and taking your power back.
This thought provoking, self-improvement journal includes:
- A section for getting over him & another section for getting back to you--The first section is dedicated to reflecting on the failed relationship & exploring your emotions and feelings about the breakup. The second section is dedicated to strengthening the relationship with yourself and moving forward with your life.
- Uplifting, powerful quotes and notes from the author--If you’re familiar with Kindall D.’s Instagram feed and/or Twitter page, then you know she always words things in a thought provoking, nuanced way to make you think and have “aha” moments. The quotes found in this journal are no different. She also includes some of her own notes that act as her own personal journal entry to help guide your thoughts when writing your own entries.
- A progress section to revisit after 30-60 days--This section is at the end of the journal and advised to be used to self-reflect on your journey and what you’ve written after about 30-60 days. This part is beneficial to seeing just how much you’ve grown and developed because oftentimes we don’t realize just how much we’ve grown until we really sit down and reflect on where we are now compared to where we were when we first started out on the journey.

Very helpful
Reviewed in the United States on March 10, 2025Format: PaperbackI recently just got out of a toxic situation and let me just tell you even though i have a therapist this journal really helped me get through these last few months! I was having a really tough time understanding why this happened to me and i was just not in a good place. I swear this journal has really been helpful. I highly recommend to anyone who may have just got out a toxic relationship or situation. It really did help put things into perspective. Helped me learned more about myself. Helped me to forgive myself and slowly let go of the hurt or at least stop all contact and stop trying to get him to tell me why he did what he did. I also recommend reading her book Toxic ex chronicles Jon first then doing the journal. I say that because i started the journal before i started reading her book and At times i couldn’t think of things like examples or red flags but as i read the book it showed me things i missed in my own situation and how he was being manipulative the whole time and i was able to go back and read my responses or add to my journal.
