Depending on where you live-and depending on where you keep the crystal-you may be in need of Quakehold!'s museum gel. Here's how it works: simply pinch off a bit of the non-toxic gel and adhere it to the bottom of the object you want to secure, then place it on the shelf. The gel will hold it fast in the event of an earthquake. If you ever want to move the object to another location, simply twist and pull to separate it from the shelf. The gell is fully reusable, and it doesn't leave marks on wood or other materials.--Josh Dettweiler

Surprisingly Useful
Reviewed in the United States on June 13, 2026Pattern Name: Museum GelOne thing worth noting is that this product is not intended for hanging items on walls, so if you're looking for something to keep wall décor in place, this isn't the right solution. However, it works wonderfully for stabilizing objects sitting on shelves, tables, counters, and other flat surfaces.
I originally was going to buy this for our camper but decided to also use this to keep picture frames from falling over every time they were bumped (by the dog running into the shelf frequently!), and it solved that problem immediately. As an unexpected bonus, I tried it under the floor mat by my kitchen sink, and to my surprise, the mat no longer slides around. That alone has made daily life a little easier and safer.
Overall, Ready America Museum Gel is a simple but incredibly useful product. It's affordable, versatile, easy to apply, and effective at preventing everyday shifting and tipping. If you have decorative items, picture frames, or even household items that won't stay put, this gel is definitely worth having on hand.

Works great! If you FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS
Reviewed in the United States on April 10, 2026Pattern Name: Museum GelI was skeptical at first because of some of the negative reviews, but the cost wasn’t that much so I decided to give it a try. FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS and you’ll be happy with the results. It is not designed to use on anything that is not considered “waterproof” so don’t use this on pictures or a wall or any surface like a wood that is not sealed with varnish. It was easy to use and works really well to hold my miniature village pieces in place. I kept having some removable pieces fall off of my Christmas village buildings and some of the small figures falling over so I followed the instructions and waited an hour before I gently checked it. Then I waited another 24 hours and gave it a firm shaking, and I was surprised at how well it held the pieces in place.
NOTE: It is not sticky to the touch, but it will sort of melt into the shape of the piece that it’s holding and then it will bond within about an hour.
I would recommend using this product

Groundbreaking product!
Reviewed in the United States on July 9, 2026Pattern Name: Museum GelSuch a great product!
What starts as a gel turns to a solid concrete hold! I attached a video of how strong the hold is just 30 mins after applying to the base.

Okay product, but can leave oily stain
Reviewed in the United States on April 2, 2026Pattern Name: Museum GelThis gel worked for some things, but not for others. It isn’t sticky, but holds ceramic and glass things in place on flat surfaces.
Negative: The gel spread out and left an oily stain on the wooden trays I had things displayed on.
I used this product to hold small Christmas decorations in place on a decorative tiered tray which was placed on a table. Upon removing the fastened decor, the stains were noticed.

museum gel
Reviewed in the United States on July 15, 2023Pattern Name: Museum GelI've used this stuff for years. It works so well. Apply anywhere you want something to stay put. Just a note - it will 'spread' and flatten over time - so you want to use as small amount as possible. It is clear and feels like a thick gel. Easy to scoop out a small piece, roll into a ball and put under whatever you want to stay put. Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. All of my reviews reflect my honest, personal experience with the reviewed item - your experience may be different. I am not influenced by any outside source. I receive/accept NO free products or discounts that are not available to all shoppers- ever. As a top 30 reviewer, I've been doing reviews for over 25 years with Amazon - over 6,200 reviews posted, those reviews have been viewed well over 50,000 times, including well over 28,000 likes. BOTTOM LINE: I pay for all my stuff, just like you do.

Not for hot and humid climates
Reviewed in the United States on June 3, 2026Pattern Name: Museum GelWhile I generally love museum gel, it’s not effective in hot or humid clients as it just melts into a gloopy sticky mess.
In dry or cool climates it’s easy to use and will hold your items securely. It will also be clear which is ideal for keeping clear acrylic frames stationed in one place.
In regard to value for money, 10/10 if in a dry cool area, 0/10 if somewhere hot and humid.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS GLUE. IT DOESN'T HOLD.
Reviewed in the United States on June 24, 2026Pattern Name: Museum GelI bought this product because the reviews looked good. All I had was small arrowheads to put in a display case. I did that, and I thought that it worked good. I left the case flat for 24 hrs before putting it upright. Then I put it upright and everything held. However, a few days later I noticed that a number of the arrowheads had fallen down from the upright position. The museum glue left terrible stains on the felt. I had just purchased these display cases too. It took me a long time to clean up the mess, and even at that, it's still not perfectly clean. There are stains left behind from the glue. I do not recommend this product.
