  I bought this phone at launch in October 2021 and I've used this phone for more than 3 months now and this is my honest review.

  The SD 778G processor, 8 GB LPDDR5 RAM, the UFS 3.1 storage, 5000 mAH battery all add up to give you a daily driver that does not lag, gives you amazing battery life, takes great photos, superb call quality and data speeds (both wifi and 4G), loud speakers at a price of around Rs 21,000 don't look for any other phone.

  I've seen people crib about lack of AMOLED. However, once you start using this phone you'll simply stop noticing this as the LCD panel is pretty good and is reasonably bright even under sunlight. After a couple of days usage, lack of AMOLED wouldn't seem a problem just like phones with ugly notches.

  This is a phone that will simply not let you down when you have to make an urgent call, take a quick photo, scan a QR to make a payment on Google Pay or play a Youtube video.

  I'm not a gamer. I don't play any games so I simply can't comment on the gaming experience.

  The overall user experience is just fantastic. Having come from stock android with a previous Moto phone, I was very apprehensive about bloatware and ads etc. Just like most phones in this price range you get a lot of bloatware which you can thankfully uninstall. Just be careful when you click on Accept on user agreements for the various iQoo applications, they have an optional permission which if you un-check you will not get any ads or your data sent to their servers. Once done your experience is closer to stock Android.

  The phone is getting updated quite regularly; one of the first to get Android 12 and is currently (in Jan 2022) on December 2021 security update which is a reasonably good update cycle.

  Overall a phone that you will not regret buying especially at the price point at which this is available relative to other phones with similar specs.

  The phone is phenomenal and is a performance beast, once you start using 120hz screen the fluidity will blow you away. I'm glad this is a very high quality display yet not AMOLED because of which I get 1 day 7 hours battery life.

  Fast charging is 33 minutes to full charge. 25 minutes to reach 80% 10 minutes charging gives 44% battery. Charging stops automatically once it reaches 100% that is a huge plus. Charger gets mildly heated if you go for full charging. The device got heated inly when I was outside in the afternoon heat. During gaming it doesn't heat up for atleast 3 hours.

  As for the decide hanging where home button and recent button stops functioning it does exist because it's a software bug caused due to WhatsApp bubble chats. Disabling bubble chat works as I didn't encounter that error thereafter.

  This is a bug that needs fixing. For people who uses bubble chats its a deal breaker.

  -1 because using app lock vault means you cannot view notification content even when the screen is unlocked. There must be a customization for each app instead of blanket hiding.

  I have got to say the Ultra image stabilization is like filming a movie. This was something that I didn't expect to see. I doubt whether I could upload the sample as a 3min video is 250mb+, Sorry Amazon is not accepting huge videos.

  I'm happy because this device beats all my expectation and does well on the battery department. Equipped with Fast charger and you never have to worry. I'm using Boat Rockerz 255 pro+ with it. It's a beast in the battery department and works flawlessly with this device!

  When I was going to buy this phone, I read the reviews concerning this device. A lot of them outright state that this phone is pretty mediocre and not worth it. I got this phone for 21000 rupees and for that price it's pretty awesome.

  The strong points of this phone would be;

  1. Processor (778G is well optimised and really fast)

  2. Battery (5000mah)

  3. Ram and fast storage (8GB lpddr5 with UFS 3.1 128GB internal)

  4. Even though LCD, it is one of the best LCD display in the market. If you are an AMOLED screen fan then don't buy this phone.

  Gaming in this phone is awesome and the cooling system does a very good job keeping the phone temperature under check. The camera is not very good but decent enough. Ui is pretty cool, especially the widgets. Go for Mystic Blue as it is one of the cooler options that they give.

  If you are a serious buyer looking for a phone replacement and if you find this device to you suiting then don't mind the fake one-star reviews on Amazon regarding this product and go for it. This phone won't disappoint you.

  Update : Received Android 12 at the end of December as promised. No issues, it runs cool and stable.

  I bought this phone at around 14k after exchanging an almost 4 year old phone for 7k and an additional 2k coupon on top of it. So my review is based on this pricing. For 14-16k range, hands down the best phone you can get.

  I bought this for my parent, first thing I noticed is the weight, it's not heavy and still manages to have a 5000mAh battery and an headphone jack. Boy, the battery life is insane for the light user, it easily lasts 3-4 days with 1-2 hrs of SOT with light browsing, youtube and WhatsApp. Charges under an hour, so if you are looking for a well optimized phone with long battery this one does an excellent job at it.

  Call quality and signal reception is excellent, the previous phone was not even getting signal inside the house, this one shows 3-4 bars! That's a life saver. Carrier aggregation also works fine with Jio. The loudspeaker could be a little louder but the earpiece is good and loud. It has 2 5G bands, honestly not going to worry for at least at 2 years about 5G. 4G is excellent and no compromises on that with this phone.

  Software experience is decent, I like how improved this version of Funtouch OS compared to what it used to be, the notification panel and the overall layout is close to stock and the phone got updated to Nov patch in Dec with a lot of bug fixes for performance and camera. There is bloatware, most can be uninstalled and it's better to not agree to the terms of some iQoo apps. So good to see iQoo taking the time to improve their existing devices, let's hope they keep up with the 2 OS upgrades and 3 years security updates.

  Display is sharp and good, enough brightness and 120Hz has no stutters thanks to 778G, LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. It also has an option to switch to 90Hz. This phone will not lag at all! It hands down offers one of the best performance under 25k, at 14-16k, nothing comes close to it. No overheating issues and PUBG runs fine at 60fps.

  Camera is not a primary use case for my purchase however it delivers detailed images from both rear and front camera under good lighting, low light is decent with night mode. The portrait mode looks good and allows you to adjust the depth of field. 2x zoom shots look fine, thanks to 64MP sensor, however zooming more than that gives the pictures an oil painting look. Dynamic range and exposures are handled rather good. Overall it's good, there may be better phones out there but it's always a tossup these days with phone cameras have improved a lot. Bonus, GCam ports work well too.

  Phone also has stereo speakers which aren't very loud but hey it is more than serviceable and the headphone jack is a god send for my parent's use case. Fingerprint scanner is fast and accurate.

  So overall, the phone covers all the major areas, great battery life, quick charging, unbeatable performance, good software experience, good camera and relatively light weight phone. iQoo has a winner, hope they deliver the software updates part as promised. Happy with purchase and would recommend to wait for additional exchange offers for your current phone or card offers. Best value would be 16k with exchange or 20k without exchange.

  got around 550,000 in antutu score on first day will update score after a month usage later* 3d benchmark 15 fps stable 99% score

  strutural:

  first of all if ur buying this phone for regular basic usage its good a bit large for small hands 6'67'' but the weight distribution and in hand feel is nice

  it comes with panda glass dunno how much it could protect the phone but who cares everyone gonna use a cheap screen protector on it...

  build quality is good n some reviews are complaining about plastic back n body .. it really doesn't matters tge matt finish is superb n fells good on hand . again no one uses their device without covers so who cares again ..

  Softwere n stuff:

  android 12 fills it up with many amazing features which helps a lot and the funtouch os is good enough after removing everything Haven't experienced any ad except from iqoo app in the phone u could turn off the notification n it will nvr bug u again

  (caution) : the theme store in the phone is literal trash .. nothing is for free like mi theme store only comes with 1 extra font n thats all u couldn't change its theme at all without paying

  apart from that the heptic response feature is smooth n nice also instant facial recognition n fingerprint scan it even fells like u don't have a password at all gr8 for that

  CAMERA :

  rear : the 3 cameras in the rear are good images are sharp in 64 mp ... but the wide angle camera losses a lot details not as good as the main camera but still good enough... macro lens : why do they even add that?? i personally dont find any use for it n nvr used it rec vids in 1080p 60fps 4k 30 fps ( the rear vid camera have some lind of stability it works great even when ur running ig it doesn't have any physical stabilization feature in cams but the softwere one is smooth removes a lot of jitter from the clip)

  front : front camera is kinda basic works fine in better lighting not gonna say it works in low lightning the pics get too blurry n pixelated.

  camera UI : if I've ever experienced any vivo camera ui its the same ... makes ur skin glow can't even say partially it clicks natural photos .. over exposed but smooth

  other than that the pano feature works fine portrait blurr could be adjusted a lil more blurs the background real smooth

  ""THE NIGHT MODE"" i dunno what they feed their engineerers to design such modes but it works great !!! abosultely great depending upon the darkness in the environment it tell u to stabilize ur phone for 3-5 sec byt it changes the phoyo completely.. its like turning lights on in a dark room n all looks natural

  OVERVIEW : If u need. a performance centri. phone go for it its best in the price range (21000k) tge price i bought it for suits it ... u could go for poco x3 pro just for 2k less for performing scores but u'll lose a lot pf features ... if u want a phone with kuch better features u have to spend atleast 5-6 k more [ Some reviews were blabbing about it being unusable for 5g network in the future but the bands are perfect they'll work

  PROS:

  °ufs 3.1 storage everything loads up fast n smooth Haven't experienced a loading screen for downloaded content in the phone

  °ram management is gr8 works abosultely great

  ° the night mode is great(rear)

  °vid stabilization in rear cam (clips look like butter without even a lil bit of shake n anything)

  °facescan n fingerprint works flawlessly (couldn't even realise it has a lock on when I'm using it)

  °5g network not useful now but will be helpful in the future

  ° fast charging takes about 45 min to 30-100

  CONS:

  ° dont have a exapandable memory card slot (128 gigs is enough but still it would've been better to have some extra)

  ° heats up a bit while charging it doesn't take much to charge but temp inc from the back to a noticeable point while charging

  °cam ui from vivo it brighten up the pics. i do prefer natural pics over that

  °led display amoled would be better at this price point but it compensates for the performance only blacks are noticeable while watching content on it otherwise worls fine .. even in high sunlight everything is visible at full brightness

  I have been using this device for more than 2 months now and to be honest...this phone is something else.

  1. I'm personally a gamer, actually loves to play high graphics games and this device always gave me the best performance.

  2. Battery life is super strong and I never felt a heating issues after heavy gaming too.

  3. Even though it's a LCD display, the quality or it is remarkable. My old phone or my friends phone none has a LCD display with this much good quality colour sharpness.

  4. Camera - here is the serious part, I was made a camera man by my colleagues because of the camera quality and it's picture stabilization. Portrait and Night mode are so awesome.

  The only drawback I feel about this phone is it's 5g bands ..it has around 2 or 3 band only but still 5g.

  So a conclusion opinion on this phone is that if you are looking for a super phone like a super man.....then yeah you have IQOO Z5 5g

  Writing a review after 7 months of using IQOO Z5 128GB 8GB variant

  Phone was just amazing for 2 or 3 months of use, camera quality is good, no lags during gameplay (I play Apex Legends Mobile) even with ultra hd quality realistic graphics, decent battery life. Everything was Perfect until I updated the mobile phone few times.

  1. The major issue is WiFi slowness, no matter which 2.4 Ghz WiFi network I connect, it is only limited to 500 KBPS max. Gameplay pings are horrible, enemies became bulletproof because my ping was too low.

  The download speeds (including Play store apps) dropped around 250 KBPS, even the YouTube videos keeps buffering for 360p resolution. Whereas every other device that is connected to the same network are able to play 1080P without any buffering.

  I've looked for solutions on Google & YouTube, it seems other IQOO users (even other models) are facing the same issue.

  I've tried network settings reset multiple times, it only works for 5 or 10 minutes and every time I do it, I have to enter my WiFi passwords again.

  I have to reset my mobile it seems which takes a lot of time to setup all the applications on the phone once I do that.

  2. With the recent update, apps are closing automatically or getting stuck while I use them. I'll tell you an example, I was using WhatsApp and my WhatsApp got stuck when I was typing something. I had to restart the entire phone to get it working.

  Chrome browser got closed automatically when I was typing this review.

  I hope IQOO's gonna do something about this or else, I'll have to look for other brand mobile phones soon.

  Everyone is saying display is ips not amoled... but after using it I've felt this is the best ips display I've ever used...it kinda feels like amoled too... battery backup is also monstrous..on the other hand it's charging literally Amazing..1hrs charging time for 5-100% and use the device till next day.... including playing heavy games..
