♦ COMMAND AIRWAYS was founded as Mid-Hudson Airline in 1951. In addition to providing air taxi service, Mid-Hudson also operated scheduled service from Poughkeepsie to Kennedy International Airport and Newark. The name was changed in 1966 when the airline was purchased by Kingsley G. Morse. Flew New York-Poughkeepsie. Became American Eagle operator in 1986. AMR Corporation the parent company of American Airlines, purchased Command Airways in 1988 and renamed it AMR Eagle/Command Airways. Merged into Nashville Eagle to form Flagship Airlines ♦
