Actual gameplay inside Codex

This is what playing Questforge looks like.

The conversation is the game. Begin in natural language, follow a suggested approach or invent your own, and extend the table into the desktop browser when a scene benefits from more space.

  1. Start a campaign that is uniquely yours.

Create a quick hero and begin immediately, or shape your own character from the very first choice. Questforge builds an original world and opening situation around them inside Codex.

  2. Choose a path—or write your own.

Suggested actions keep the story moving, but you are never trapped in a dialogue tree. Every turn can begin with a listed approach or something entirely your own.

  3. Open the world beside the conversation.

Optional 360° viewpoints and ambient audio can remain open in the desktop browser while your campaign continues. Sound stays muted until you choose to enable it.

The conversation is the game

No dialogue wheel. No fixed path.

Questforge prepares a coherent campaign, then responds to what you actually attempt. Rules and state keep that freedom meaningful.

01

You act

Investigate, bargain, cast, fight, flee, improvise, or try something the Game Master did not anticipate.

02

The table resolves

Meaningful uncertainty uses visible 5E-compatible modifiers, dice, difficulty, and consequences.

03

The world changes

Clues, inventory, damage, spells, NPC attitudes, faction pressure, and campaign clocks become durable state.

04

You see the next beat

Generated scenes support the fiction while text and structured state remain the source of truth.

One game, two layers

The story travels. The table can grow.

The portable experience stays in the conversation. Local Codex play can build a persistent campaign workspace around it.

In the conversation

What every player follows

  • Narration, dialogue, choices, and freeform actions
  • Visible rolls, modifiers, DCs, outcomes, and rulings
  • Compact character, inventory, spell, and objective status
  • Generated scenes shown in the conversation when available

With a writable local Codex workspace

What the desktop table adds

  • Persistent campaign files, checkpoints, journals, clues, NPCs, and factions
  • A live visual table that follows new images through long sessions
  • Interactive 360° POV viewers for spatial exploration
  • Optional scene-matched ambience, muted until the player enables it

A world with continuity

Images that belong to the campaign.

Scenes, maps, equipment, merchants, and recurring characters reuse a visual ledger so a new image does not quietly rewrite the story.

Look around when space matters.

Important locations can open as smooth 360° viewpoints with inertial movement, scroll zoom, keyboard controls, and a matching soundtrack that remains muted until you choose to enable it.

Built with Codex · GPT-5.6 Sol

Codex is not only behind the game. It is where the game happens.

The campaign is original each time. A private creative conception pass establishes environment, community, material conflict, threat, relationships, tone, and campaign promise before the first scene.

The rules remain inspectable. Questforge ships with offline English and Spanish primers and can optionally index the public 5E SRD 5.2.1 with the player's consent.

The visuals remain accountable. Text and structured state decide what happened. Images support imagination; they do not silently rewrite outcomes.
