The entry of the younger Duterte and 30 other lawmakers into
NUP prompted a loyalty check by PDP-Laban among its members.
Castro recently resigned as
NUP president out of "delicadeza" for not supporting the speakership bid of now Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano.
NUP officials, on theother hand, stressed that Duterte did not take his oath as
NUP member but that he was only adopted.
"Therefore, in light of what is stated in Chapter XV (Comprehensive Peace Issues), we call for a review of what has been agreed in the Constitutional Declaration in this chapter: Articles 67 to 69," said the three
NUP figures who represented their party in the FFC consultations meetings in Addis Ababa last July.
The
NUP chairman also charged the federal government retirees in the state to always inform the state secretariat of any of their demands met by the federal government.
'If the HNP chooses not to endorse any congressman for Speaker,
NUP will still not have its own candidate for Speaker.
The cynics may ask - why bother with a pre
nup if the Court can still decide on what is fair?

NUPCastro said there is no reason for him to remain as the
NUP president and a party member after he openly expressed his support to the speakership bid of Romualdez who was not the
NUP leadership's choice in the hotly-contested race.
Sources said among the PDP-Laban members who would join the
NUP are Florida Robes of San Jose del Monte in Bulacan, Joy Tambunting of Paraaaque, Alex Advincula of Cavite and Antonio Albano of Isabela.
He also charged them to see themselves as their brother's keeper, saying that they should work in unison and cooperate with the leadership of the
NUP in the state to achieve its ideas and welfare programmes.
