Otras propuestas como NetCDF (Network Common Data Form) [9, 12] incluyen tanto el formato como una biblioteca para acceder a los datos.

O conjunto de dados de TSM utilizados foi obtido junto ao NCEP (National Center for Environmental Prediction) e NCAR (National Center for Atmospheric Research Reanalysis), numa grade regular de 1 x 1 no formato NetCDF (Network Common Data Form), periodo de 1982 a 2005, abrangendo todo o oceano Pacifico Sul e Atlantico Sul (latitudes entre 10[degre]N a 60[degre]S e longitudes de 120[degre]E a 30[degre]E).

Sharing these components across the earth observation community presents many challenges and requires the incorporation of different levels of standards, such as community-based standards (OpeNDAP, http://opendap.org/, and NetCDF, http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/netcdf/, or the HDF--EOS, http://hdfeos.net/, data format) and broader international standards.

To process the response surfaces described in Section 1, QSHEP5D was specifically designed to read and write netCDF files.(1) netCDF (NETwork Common Data Form) is an interface for array-oriented data access and a library that provides an implementation of the interface.

It is currently used to provide LinkWinds direct access to a wide variety of data formats including the Airborne Visible and Infrared Imaging Spectrometer (AVIRIS) format, and NetCDF [1,10], a derivative of CDF.

The file format is Network Common Data Form (netCDF).

Once generated, the Network Common Data Form (NetCDF) of the composites was imported into ArcMAP [39] for plotting and display.

We obtained NetCDF files for the monthly global radiation data [i.e., Surface Incoming Shortwave Radiation (SIS)] W/[m.sup.2] from 2004 to 2013.
