They cut it out, I know not why
In my dreams I lost an eye
They cut it out, I know not why
I had to meet covertly at the playground near my old house in Fairlington with a girl from India with blond hair.
I went to bed one night with a gaping hole where my right eye used to be. I woke the next morning able to see far into the distance, better than ever before. I ran to the mirror and looked. I don't remember the face I saw (thus probably my own), but the eyes were Max's--light blue.
(Such eyes don't run in my family; my sister's are dark blue, and mine are sort of hazel.)
