- I'm a freshman at Colby, a member of the class of 2010, and I'm majoring in Geological Sciences. I grew up in Connecticut where my interest in weather was first sparked. Since childhood I've had an obsession with weather and in middle school began experimenting with snowmaking and forecasting. My senior year in high school I got the opportunity to intern with Joe Fury, a very accomplished meteorologist in Connecticut. I got the chance to study Nor'easters, a huge snowmaker for the state of Maine and learn how to look at weather models. I'm especially interested in winter weather and the role that elevation takes in altering forecasts. Send me an e-mail if you have any questions or problems with the website.
