Situated on the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains, Cody was founded by the world famous scout and entrepreneur, Buffalo Bill Cody in 1907. It is a sleepy little town with a population of approximately 8800 people in the winter but comes alive with tourists from all over the world in the summer. Reindeer Ranch is located downtown in a historic building, "The Holm Building", which was built in 1910 as a bank. With two floors packed to the brim with merchandise, the shop is constantly changing with the season, the holiday or the whim of the owner.
