Welcome - Standish Methodist Church
Description
In Great Britain there are 33 Districts and together they make up what is known as the “Connexion." There is an annual conference, and representatives from the Connexion and the districts decide upon common policy. The President of the Conference is elected annually.
Each of the Districts has a District Synod.(or committee). They decide upon policy for the district based upon guidance from the Conference and Connexion.
Each of the districts is again split, into Circuits, which are made up from a number of local churches. It is in this way that strong links are built up and maintained around the country, and the world.
