Dr. Young has a large solo private pediatric practice in Amarillo, Texas. He received his undergraduate education at Midwestern State University graduating summa cum laude as the highest ranking graduate in consecutive years; 1985 with a B.S. in Chemistry and 1986 with a B.S. in both Biology and Psychology.
He attended medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas and Parkland Hospital where he graduated in the top 2% of his class and was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, the medical honor society. He received his pediatric training at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas. He is board certified in pediatrics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (F.A.A.P.).
Dr. Young lives with his wife, Dana, and their three daughters Caitlyn, Christian, and Callan. They regularly attend Trinity Baptist Church and find meaning in life through their personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
