SecurityStats.Com was founded in April, 2000. The site was created out of a perceived need for a central repository of interesting computer security statistics, which could be used in research materials as well as corporate security expenditure documentation. Most statistics gathered on this site have been pulled from other Internet resources. We do not guarantee the accuracy of this information due to the sources involved, but try very hard to reproduce exact statistics, where they are available. If you have questions, comments, concerns, or submissions, please let us know!
Has been in the computer security field for approximately 7 years, with past employers including Allstate Insurance, Computer Sciences Corporation at NASA Langley, Jefferson Laboratories (SURA/CEBAF), Siemens, and Old Dominion University.
Is responsible for e-commerce application development and web application security at a Fortune 50 company in Chicago. He is also the author of all security awareness tools on this site - Password Strength Meter, Cisco Password 7 Decryptor, Online HTTP Basic Authentication Decoder.
