Description
The former United States Men’s Olympic Track and Field coach for the field events, Jim is regarded as one of America’s most innovative coaches in the country. Jim has been awarded every prestigious honor as a coach and administrator in the United States by the NCAA; United States Track and Field, and the National High School Athletic Coaches Association.
In 1973 Jim was named the AIAW National Coach of the Year, and in 1977 was awarded the NCAA Division II National Coach of the Year. As the former Executive Director of the Scholastic Track and Field Coaches of America from 1996-1999 Mr. Santos served more than 120,000 secondary school track and field coaches in the United States. As the former Director of Athletics for Special Olympics Inc. in Washington DC, Mr.
Mr. Kolarek has an extensive background in sports not only as a professional baseball player with the Oakland A’s organization, but as a coach and administrator. Frank currently serves as the National Special Programs Director for the ASA/USA Softball Association, and continues to serve as the International Director of Softball for Special Olympics Inc. serving more than 152 foreign countries. Mr. Kolarek has an outstanding background in marketing, having held positions as the Marketing Director for the University of Phoenix, Maryland, and the Cal Ripken Sports Acceleration for the Sinai Health Systems. Frank is regarded as one of the countries top clinicians in baseball and softball with presentations to schools, recreation and youth groups throughout the country.
