Since December of 1996, I have served as a federal civil servant. At present, I am a master organizational performance consultant with Coast Guard Atlantic Area in Portsmouth, Virginia, responsible for bringing about systematic organizational leadership and management in alignment with the service's performance excellence framwork. I live just a stone's throw from the shores of the Elizabeth River in Olde Towne Portsmouth with my wife, Jenny, and five sons: Andrew, Richard, Elliot, John, and Henry. When I have the time, I enjoy sailing, walking, writing, and cooking.
