- Kaufman County CERT, Inc. is the Citizen Corps Community Emergency Response Team program for Kaufman County, Texas sponsored in-part by Southern Search & Rescue, Inc. This program is designed to be used by all citizens who live or work in Kaufman County and is an open membership group. Utilizing training and objectives established by the CERT program, we are empowering our citizens to assist in help their fellow neighbors and citizens in times of emergency and disaster. Working with other CERT programs across north Texas and the nation, we are working to make America stronger in it's ability to help itself during a disaster.
