Description
The greater Indianapolis area had been without a local Z-Car club for a number of years. In an attempt to fill that void, a handful of local Z enthusiasts with a common vision, came together to establish the Indy Z-Car Club. Founded on March 13, 1996, we are a diverse group of members, ages 20 to 60, who gather on at least a monthly basis to discuss experiences and exchange information on our Datsun/Nissan Z-Cars...plus have some fun! The majority of our members hail from the Indianapolis metropolitan area, but we also have some folks who make the trek down from Lafayette, IN. We now have over sixty members, all of whom own models of Z-Cars produced during a period spanning 26 years. We’re actively seeking other Z enthusiasts to join us, and share in the Z-Car legend. While our meetings are mostly social in nature, we occasionally arrange to have meeting guests who provide technical assistance and advice. A typical club outing may include a leisurely drive on a winding back road, a trip to a park or the nearby winery, or just some spirited “Z-talk” over pizza and a cold brew. Some of our club social activities do include the family, and we’re always looking for new get-together ideas. We’d appreciate your input! Sound interesting? Indy Z-Car Club members receive a monthly club newsletter, The Indy NewZLetter, which features an events calendar, recaps club activities, offers technical tips, plus provides an additional forum to discuss various Z-related topics.
