- Most families have yearly vacations centered around camping, an amusement park, or some fun destination. Our families vacations centered around the closest racetrack or car show. A normal yearly trip was to a Pomona, CA for a race and car show with a quick stop at Disneyland. Our quality family time was spent in the garage working on Dad's racecar, his next hotrod project or at a local junkyard scavenging for useable parts.
