Mellfell House Farm sits high on the slopes of Little Mellfell, overlooking Ullswater, in the north-east of the Lake District National Park. The house itself is a lovely 17th century farmhouse, and its old barns have been converted into cottages. Although no longer a working farm, its seventeen acres support cats, dogs, horses, sheep, ducks, hens and a cow, most of which wander freely.
