We are a group of eight board certified Family Practitioners working with each other, Nurse Practitioners/ Physician Assistants, and staff to provide quality health care to the families we serve. The Nurse Practitioners and P.A.'s treat routine acute problems and stable chronic medical needs. We provide care in the areas of general internal medicine, pediatrics, office gynecology, office surgery, and preventive medicine, in the office and in the hospital.
Family Practice is a recognized medical specialty with board cetification by the American Board of Family Practice. Requirements for the certification includes three years of residency in the areas of Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, Pediatrics, Obstetrics-Gynecology, general and sub-specialty surgery, and Psychiatry, with proficiency demonstrated by completion of board certification. Family Physicians must complete 150 hours of continuing medical education every three years and pass written re-examination boards every six years to maintain certification.
