While most are eating cheese steaks, pretzels and water ice…the city of Philadelphia is alive with drive and talent. Home of the Philadelphia 76er’s, the Liberty Bell, Will Smith and Rennie Harris PureMovement, there is still enough room for the rookies turned veterans in the area of Hip Hop Dance and Culture. And so we have FloMotion.
FloMotion is a brand new Hip Hop Dance Company that stems straight from the City of Brotherly Love. It consists of a group of well-versed adult Hip Hop/Funk dancers ranging in age from 18 to 30. These highly energetic individuals instruct, perform and hold workshops all over the Delaware Valley and East Coast.
FloMotion was born in November of 2002 on a cold windy night (and those that are from Philly know what we mean by cold and windy). Three seasoned professional dancers came together to create a new idea and trend to add to the growing and thriving Hip Hop community in the TriState Area. Already influenced by RHPM, Montazh, Olive, and Chosen, the ladies of FloMotion agreed that there is room for one more dope Hip Hop company.
