- The Christmas Room is located in one of the quaint buildings that lines 220th Trail (main street Amana). Our building was built in 1856 with an addition in 1881. It was known as the Noe Kitchen and a portion of the building housed a communal kitchen. The kitchen closed in 1932 when the communal system ended. When the kitchens closed, the Noe family continued to lived in the house until 1991. This building housed one of the first gift shops to open in the Amanas. It was operated by Emaline Noe Bendorf.
