About Bethany Union
Bethany Union is a non-profit charitable institution that exists for the purpose of establishing and maintaining subsidized housing for young women. Women are provided congenial housing, nourishing meals, and a supportive staff in an atmosphere that fosters and encourages a sense of community among diverse residents and staff. Our goal is to enable young women to fulfill their roles as contributing members of society. Residency is considered for an initial period not to exceed four years, subject to extensions of two years upon review by the Applications Committee.
Our residents, women aged 18-30, tend to be in colleges, trade schools, or making career changes. International women enjoy the opportunity to learn English and pursue their education among a varied group, while U. S. women are enriched by exposure to other cultures and faiths. Life-long friendships have developed, and many past and present residents have said they could not have accomplished their goals without the help of Bethany Union.
