- This year 2003, ALMC celebrates 40 years in Irish Motorsport. The club was founded in 1963 by a number of motorsport enthusiasts who worked at Dublin Airport and the club was originally known as Aer Lingus Motor Club. In early 1982 the club became a Limited Company and the name was changed to ALMC.
- In those early years the club ran Autocrosses and Navigation Rallies and social events and gained a reputation for good organisation and running enjoyable, affordable, non-car breaking events.
