Advanced Colleges of America is a private institution of higher learning dedicated to offering lifelong learning opportunities to a diverse population of adult learners in the United States and other countries. Advanced Colleges of America’s programs, which are offered through an online learning process, provide students the opportunity to acquire practical knowledge and applicable skills, at very affordable costs, which will greatly enhance their opportunities for career advancement in their chosen field.
To this end, Advanced Colleges of America will maintain faculty, resources and support structures necessary to assist its students in developing and enhancing their capabilities, skills and effectiveness in their chosen professions. Advanced Colleges of America faculty has a special character. Based on relevant principles and theories, the focus of Advanced Colleges of America’s programs will be academically sound, flexible in delivery, and designed and offered to meet the needs of students from the regional, national, and international communities.
Advanced Colleges of America is committed to the traditions of scholarship and will support and encourage its faculty and students in their intellectual pursuits. As an obligation to the communities we serve, the assets represented by our assembled educational resources and the talents of the faculty, students, and staff of Advance Colleges of America will be shared freely with scholars, professionals, and community organizations. As the only school of its kind to offer a medical residency track and a diploma in advanced medical assisting, Advanced Colleges of America (ACA) helps introduces students who have practiced medicine outside of the United States to the American healthcare system while preparing them to become successful residency applicants. Training offered through Advanced Colleges of America incorporates both online classes and clinical externships.
Tuition varies depending upon the number of credits transferred and the program the student selects, but ACA provides many different forms of financial assistance. Students can receive a 10% discount if they pay in full after they sign their enrollment agreement, or they can receive a 6% discount for payments made every four months. There are also several loan options available, including a no-interest loan that allows for payments during a six-month period after the initial deposit is received.
Dr. Pedram Mizani, a family physician who received his training from St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine in Belize, founded Advanced Colleges of America based on his personal experience navigating the US residency process as an international medical graduate (IMG).
