According to a 2023 study by The Educator Room, 90.7% of teachers reported their stress levels as “somewhat high,” “high,” or “extremely high.” 77.8% rated their emotional well-being as “very low,” “low,” or “somewhat low.” These are more than just statistics. They reflect a profession in crisis. Educators are experiencing long-term mental and physical health challenges leading to burnout, increased absenteeism, and early exits from the classroom. The ripple effects weaken school culture and directly impact student outcomes.
After experiencing these realities firsthand, D’Essence became passionate about creating spaces where teachers could prioritize their own well-being and sustain the meaningful work they do. She understands that many educators are silently suffering and drained from pouring into others without having structures to pour into themselves.
Through coaching, consulting, and wellness-centered products, she empowers educators to nurture their mental health, honor their journey, and thrive both inside and outside of the classroom.
