Stable range. Dated 1878 and late C18/early C19. 1878 range by
John Birch is coursed squared limestone; Welsh slate roof; one
ashlar ridge stack with moulded top. 3-bay range to centre
with gabled bay breaking forward to centre is flanked by two
lower wings.
2-storey 11-window range. First floor centre has opening to
hayloft to centre flanked by two 2-light chamfered stone
mullion windows with leaded lights with gablets over as if
full dormers; wings have to first floor similar one- and
two-light windows.
Ground floor centre has carriage entrance with 4-centred
arched head with chamfered stone surround flanked by two
3-light chamfered stone-mullion windows with relieving arches
over; wings have to left 4 pairs of plank doors, one plank
door in chamfered stone surround with basket-arched head, to
right one pair of plank doors, one door in similar chamfered
stone surround, 2 similar doors in stone surrounds with flat
lintels with relieving arches, two 2-light chamfered stone
mullion-and-transom windows with relieving arches over.
Shallow plinth; round opening in gable to centre; moulded
coping to gable and verges to centre with moulded finials,
similar coped verge to left end; cupola to centre is octagonal
with louvred timber sides, lead-covered ogee dome with
weather-vane.
Late C18/early C19 range attached to right is coursed squared
limestone; Welsh slate roof; 4 ridge stacks, one capped off, 3
ashlar with moulded tops.
2 storey 5-window range. First floor has C19 two-light timber
glazing bar casements with flat arch lintels; ground floor has
three C20 windows with flat arch lintels, to centre in blocked
former doorway; plank door to left, pair of 2-panel doors with
overlight to right. Plat band over ground floor. Attached
mounting block to left. This range continues around corner to
right to entrance to yard as further 3-window range in similar
style. INTERIORS not inspected.
