Hey! I covered this in a video about relatively unknown horror games that are worth a look. I felt a little aimless throughout a lot of it, especially the light-switching segment. So I just kind of clicked around until things progressed. That said, I loved the biomechanical nightmare world you created and all the grotesque creatures that live in it. Cool stuff!
Thank you for featuring my game in your video and taking the time to play it. The feeling of being lost and not understanding what’s happening is part of the storytelling a small cog in a vast machine is never told what the machine is for. Still, I appreciate your feedback, thanks again!
I'm... so confused. I start the game, and wait while the opening cutscene plays. Then... the game ends and it looks like I lost. I didn't even get a chance to control anything, at least as far as I know. I try again, because maybe I could control something during what I thought was a cutscene, so I start pressing buttons, and nothing happens, nothing at all. Is the game broken? Or am I missing something?
You can check a playthrough video to see how it works. If some moment doesn’t behave the same way, then it’s indeed broken. If I can reproduce your issue, I’ll be able to fix it.
I have also had this same issue on my AMD Radeon RX 6600 Video card. Up to date drivers. I remember covering one of your last games and had the same weird issue. I think deliverance Protocol.
I am aware of this issue. Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce it on my end, and I also don’t know how to fix it. In the full version, I will expand the settings, including a complete option to disable post-processing - I hope this will help.
While working on Deliverance Protocol: Ironrot, I got so immersed in the lore and the concept that this game was born in the same universe. Mike Klubnika is a legend. I can’t deny there are some similarities, but the idea here is completely different.
looks really interesting, i like the overall theme and the somewhat of a gameplay switcharoo thing going on, but one must be curious — is there any proper source to the portrait of the guy at the end? Same with this face of the banner... I have a distinct feeling that I saw them somewhere...
Thank you for the comment. The face may seem familiar only because of the emotion of fear. It is based on a game character that I created by intuition.
PLEASE don't use the "accurate" nietzsche quote. It will always come across as painfully pretentious because while the message is there it's also so poorly written that it feels like the inside of my skull is hammered with an unopened tin of fish. There's a very successful writer/game maker who had similarly used the quote in its full for a game intro and he later on cringed when replaying that part (source: The Ego Review: Age of Evil).
I feel I should clarify it's not a HUGE issue, I'm exaggerating in an attempt to be funny. But I do believe you can only improve it by rewriting the quote.
Edit: It took headache-acquiring minutes until I realized that my game's bugged out and I get red instead of dark. Any ideas what to do about that?
Hi! Thanks for the feedback. I personally like this Nietzsche quote because it ties well into the game’s theme: something meant as a greater good that turned into hell for its inhabitants, and a creator who sees only evolution in suffering. I agree the wording isn’t perfect and I understand your point. I used the direct quote because I felt changing it or citing the author while altering it wouldn’t be quite right. Still, I’m open to removing it — it’s not a dealbreaker for me.
As for the red instead of dark issue: for most players the visuals appear correctly, but I’ve also seen rare cases like yours. This might be related to drivers or how the system handles post-processing effects. In the full version, I’ll definitely add an option to disable post-processing — that should fix the problem (though of course it will change the intended look of the game).
Grotesque Body Horror Game Inside a Consuming Flesh Machine – Inside the Flesh Engine
The concept is so unique—waking up inside a consuming flesh machine feels both grotesque and fascinating. Really curious to see where the choices lead in the full version!
The game stutters severely, with a very sticky feeling when moving. Whether vertical sync is enabled or not, whether the film grain is turned on or off, and whether it's in full screen or the resolution is adjusted, nothing helps. It needs better optimization.

This idea is great. I'm definitely getting the full release when it comes out. One of the best horror games I'm ever gonna play.
Thank you for the positive feedback and for the cool video walkthrough!

Does anyone know how to get rid of the red texture bug? I really want to play this, but the red is just making it unplayable for me.
Same problem here. I updated my graphics card and still no change. I'm using AMD.

This reminds me of Fused 240 by Mike Klubnika. Was this an inspiration for your game? very cool artstyle!

I'll repeat that I'm not criticizing the choice of quote, I'm suggesting using a paraphrased version over the verbose original.
Also I'll update drivers, then, see if that fixes it.
Amazing demo! This was very unique, thanks for making it and sharing it with us! Here is my playthrough

and he will receive them in the full version)
creepy
Oh, I see what difficulties you're facing, I'll try to optimize the game more.

Thank you for your interest and the video walkthrough! I really hope that the full version will not disappoint expectations)

Thanks for the comment, take it into account in further development
Love the theme and atmosphere can't wait to see the full game!
