The Windows key+Shift+M shortcut to snip a portion of the screen in Microsoft Windows.

Note

For non-Windows keyboards this Windows key may be called "Super" or Command with an Apple keyboard.

How to use the Windows+Shift+M keyboard shortcut

To use this keyboard shortcut, press and hold either Windows key and Shift key, and while continuing to hold, press M.

Windows key+Shift+M in Microsoft Windows

While running Microsoft Windows, pressing Windows key+Shift+M restores all windows that were minimized with Windows key+M.

Note

If you've pressed Windows key+M more than once the windows that were minimized during the first press are not restored.
