Jenkins: Connect to remote server and upload a file to remote server

What is the correct way to securely upload some files to remote server using SSH/SCP using username and password.

What I tried so far is,



I also tried after downloading the file,


scp command worked when run from windows machine, but it is getting timed out in jenkins

I've used that combination of sshagent and scp inside a sh command successfully.

You said that the command times out - does the Jenkins machine even have access to the target machine? Is there perhaps a firewall that blocks access?

For getting more information why the scp command failed you can add a -v (=verbose) flag to the scp command.
