October launch for German Disney XD

Disney XD will launch in Germany in October, bringing the total number of channels in the Disney portfolio in the country to five.

Disney Channels Deutschland said the channel will be aimed at 6 – 14 year olds, offering a mix of live action series and cartoons. As in other territories, Disney XD will replace Jetix.

The five channels in the German language market are Disney Channel, Disney XD, Playhouse Disney, Disney Cinemagic and Disney Cinemagic HD. The full bouquet will be available on the Premiere Sky DTH platform.
