Founded in 1975 by Pierre Bourdieu and a group of scholars affiliated with the Centre de Sociologie Européenne, Actes de la Recherche en Sciences Sociales draws on a vast, international network of researchers. The journal publishes articles, as well as research notes and field reports in sociology and kindred disciplines (social and cultural history, sociolinguistics, anthropology, political economy, etc.)
