The action at X Games Austin 2015 started on a high note today, as combined teams of skateboarders and BMX riders attacked the Mega Ramp in the new Big Air Doubles event. After a heated showdown blending the best of skate and BMX aerial stunts, Monster Energy’s Tom Schaar (Skateboard) and Zack Warden (BMX) walked away with X Games Bronze medals at Circuit of The Americas (COTA).

2015 US Skateboarding Championships Coming to 12 Cities This Summer
World Skateboarding Grand Prix (WSGP) -- the leading global skateboarding events management company -- announced today the schedule for the 2015 U.S. Skateboarding Championships. In partnership with leading independent skate shops across the nation, regional qualifying contests will be held in 11 cities this summer, culminating in the first-ever US Skateboarding Championships in Washington, D.C. Saturday, August 29. The total prize purse is $36,000 with $2,000 up for grabs at each regional qualifier.

Master Plan for Philadelphia Skateboarding
Franklin’s Paine Skatepark Fund (FPSF) announced that they have partnered with the Philadelphia Parks & Recreation Department to develop an official skatepark Master Plan for the City of Philadelphia. FPSF is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of skateboarding in the Greater Philadelphia region through youth programming and skatepark development.
