The problem is, any xmodmap command (i.e. xmodmap -e 'keycode 77 = Escape') destroys my existing key-bindings which are defined in .config/openbox/lxde-rc.xml

this has no effect on my system: xmodmap -e "remove Lock = Num_Lock"
