    @forcefsck: Hang on. For /proc and /dev at least, you should be using mount --bind, not copying it. Commented Mar 14, 2011 at 15:57

    @faheem, I know what the bind option does and how to use it. I've done this procedure a million times, I don't need to blindly follow a howto to install grub.     @forcefsck: I don't want to get into an argument here, so I'll just say this. These instructions are not for you, they are for the poster, and they constitute generally recommended procedure.
