Have you a similar example but for PipeWire? I am aware of "5.1 virtual audio sink" example at docs.pipewire.org/page_module_combine_stream.html but I'm not sure whether the node names they are using with matches are devices or something else.

I come to believe that it is not possible to output to multiple devices of the same audio card. If it's indeed possible to do that, i.e. output to multiple devices of the same audio card, please show how. | |

| Mar 11, 2024 at 15:49 | comment | added | Adrian | "the audio app sends its data to the sound server. This, according to its terminology makes one sink." - so pipewiresink or pulseaudiosink are 1 sink connected to many or one audio device? can you please explain the relation with the audio device? | |
| Mar 11, 2024 at 15:47 | comment | added | Adrian | In my example are 5 audio devices; "The sound server can output to the device" - could the server output to more than 1 device the same (audio) data at the same time? I find the device concept still slippery. | |
