1Yes, but MS Teams does by default not use TOTP but some proprietary method that only Microsoft Authenticator understands. See the answer from Ali E. that there is a hidden link to get a default TOTP (under some circumstances it seams) - then your answer is relevant of course.Jonas Eberle– Jonas Eberle2024-06-28 09:26:43 +00:00Commented Jun 28, 2024 at 9:26

@JonasEberle: yes, i've read the accepted answer quite some time ago. || as the question was kept quite general and most people don't know what TOTPs are resp. how to really work with them, i assumed it's about them. - that's why i wrote "usually a normal TOTP is used..." ;-) but well... it seems once more Microsoft tinkers it's own wobbly stuff to get its costumers locked-in. thankfully i personally don't have to deal with this proprietary crap. || anyway... thanks for giving a hint to others reading my answer.DJCrashdummy– DJCrashdummy2024-07-01 05:36:21 +00:00Commented Jul 1, 2024 at 5:36

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. shell-script), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
