We have a CentOS machine acting as our syslog server. One of the problems I have had recently is that the machine has been dropping large numbers of syslog messages.

We have a CentOS machine acting as our syslog server. I recently noticed that the machine has been dropping large numbers of syslog messages at times. We have over 250 routers and switches, as well as firewalls logging every connection open / close.

I'm running out of ideas... how can I stop this server from bleeding syslogs?
