1@C W Holeman II: I'm just going to edit the answer with that. Sorry about the long delay :)Lucas Jones– Lucas Jones2009-08-14 18:24:04 +00:00Commented Aug 14, 2009 at 18:24

1Note that EDT has a direction mode so that rather than LLWW, EDT would use: Down AdvChar AdvChar AdvWord AdvWord and rather than HH, EDT would use: Up AdvChar AdvChar. EDT also uses the arrow keys rather than HJKL.CW Holeman II– CW Holeman II2009-12-29 04:18:39 +00:00Commented Dec 29, 2009 at 4:18

1Vim also allows you to use the arrow keys - but using HJKL is supposedly faster if you type properly, as they are in the home row. I, however, do not type properly, so I find the arrow keys just as fast.Lucas Jones– Lucas Jones2009-12-29 15:58:30 +00:00Commented Dec 29, 2009 at 15:58

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. shell-script), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
