Thanks everyone forI found the response. As it turns out Im just an idiot....theissue: The machine is operating onin the UTC zone, and Im onI'm in the PST zone. So the cron job never actually fireddid not execute at the expected local time.

I found the issue: The machine is operating in the UTC zone, and I'm in the PST zone. So the cron job did not execute at the expected local time.
