  • One last question. How do I determine which architecture the system is? Either 64 bit or 32 bit? Commented Feb 2, 2011 at 19:34
  • I ran uname -a and found out that it is i386 however, the response from the command: 'sudo yum install --nogpgcheck packages.sw.be/rpmforge-release/…' was No package packages.sw.be/rpmforge-release/… available. Commented Feb 2, 2011 at 19:52

  • It looks like you already installed the package. Perhaps the repo got disabled? Look for /etc/yum.repos.d/rpmforge.repo and see if enabled=0. If so, change it to 1. If that file is missing entirely, remove and reinstall the package. Also, I fixed my install command in the original post Commented Feb 3, 2011 at 1:33
