And Unix predated Linux by more than a decade. In 1985, I was running Unix on a Sun3/160 workstation.

@John so Unix also has a kernel, which is part of Unix,isn't it?

@amjad: your terminology is confusing, and you seems to be confused. Spend several days in reading more.... SunOS did had a kernel, different of utility programs. See also osdev.org
