I installed a custom mime-type (system wide) for public keys using the *.pub glob pattern using the instructions above. However, KDE continues to associate *.pub files with ms-publisher. What additional steps are needed to resolve this?

@MountainX You must use priority="60" (default is 50, maximum 100) - see this
