Thanks, this was the best answer for me. Preserved colour's which was helpful, but removed control chars/sequences that appear to have come from copying and pasting in commands in an SSH session. Seems to have successfully stripped out all the 'bracketed paste' control stuff, which is normally a pain. Thanks.
