  • But will it remove the newline between the two tags: <font></font> ? I have doubt on it as you are using just one tag <font> as a reference. What if the tags are in the pattern <font>\n<b>\nSome Text</b></font> Commented Sep 4, 2016 at 18:19

  • @Serge: Thanks for your quick response. I will try it out and let you know. My bad, i thought that it might be obvious to have text between two font tags. One quick question for you, the text between <font> remains intact right ? only the newline is affected? Commented Sep 5, 2016 at 4:43
